His Story As told by his Dad - Tommy Fritz Today, we met His Grace Foundation on the 8th floor after you gifted Jacob a new “If You Give A Mouse A Cookie” stuffed animal and book. I just wanted to say thank you to you and your foundation for giving meals and gifts to my son, Jacob and I while we’ve been here.  Jacob is 18 months old and he has been an in-patient at Texas Children’s Hospital since Christmas Eve. Now, as of a couple weeks ago he officially engrafted with his new bone marrow transplant!  We’re actually from Oklahoma so my wife and kids do not visit very often due to the distance and the threat of sickness. You guys have really impressed us with your generosity and kindness!  So, thank you!  Truly from the bottom of our hearts! - The Fritz Family

Texas Children's Hospital recently announced the expansion of its outpatient Bone Marrow Transplant Clinic in the Cancer and Hematology Center. The new space includes 12 infusion bays and two isolation rooms to help meet the growing demand.  It will also enable them the ability to provide the most advanced cell therapies and stem cell transplants to young patients with cancers, hematological, metabolic, and primary immune deficiency disorders. The expansion reflects the dedication of the team led by Drs. Caridad Martinez and David Steffin.

Sarah Langston has been promoted to Director of Programs and Volunteer Experience. Sarah, a native Houstonian, is a proud Texas A&M Aggie with a background in early childhood education. She is a wife and a mother of a son and daughter. Sarah’s young son is a brain cancer survivor who received treatment as a patient in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit (BMTU) at Texas Children’s Hospital.

Texas Children's Hospital is searching for a Child Life Activity Coordinator to work within the Bone Marrow Transplant inpatient unit and outpatient clinic -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting.
